Other clubs can spend big, but it's a gamble; if it goes wrong, they're ****ed with an unwanted player on mega wages who they need to sell before they can replace. City simply don't need to worry about it. They have 400 mill of defenders and it's irrelevant to them if they flop. If VVD flopped for us, we'd have been screwed for a while until we sold him at a loss.

Yes, I heard about 3 days ago that his test had come back positive and wondered if it would be made public. That's both transfers from other countries now have had positive tests

 

All being well he is ok. Misses Arsenal this week (wouldn't have played anyway) and Villa next week
