yeah but I'm talking super agents and players. city's best players must be very very very happy. theyve won no european trophies. maybe psg are **** at this cos their stars are always angling for moves. I simply can't believe city books show the real wages. there's years of data showing city wages being less than other clubs and it looks just fake.
The point is they allegedly paid part of his wages via another company so it didn't show up on their books so avoiding FFP implications and that immediately gives rise to the suspicion that it won't be a one off.
Also avoiding UK tax Since most of Pep's players have been now been to court for tax evasion it seems a perfectly reasonable question to ask about his own situation
well the fact that high earners everywhere try to avoid paying their fair share of tax is hardly breaking news tbh.
Plus Pep is the highest paid football manager in the world, signed his City contract in secret while still working for Bayern, and failed two drugs tests as a player, so it's not like he deserves any benefit of the doubt despite his continuous cries that they're still innocent until the moment their guilt is proven
Part of the corporate and governmental strategy to get the very best and to stay at the top. The paradox is that the more successful they are and the more trophies they hoover up the less loved they become
I think the more successful you are, the greater the pressure. Depending on how individuals handle the pressure, things can turn nasty quickly. I don't expect anything more than a fine coming city's way. Any more than that shows up the governing bodies own failings they're not going to do that.
ahem ex players... in spain... I know of no city player past or present in trouble with uk tax. the issue for me is that in barca they were flouting the law in a transparant way. In city's case you just cannot know whats going on as the players can be getting paid into a slush fund account outside the UK from Mansour in the UAE and none of it is ever visible. you must wonder how sergio aguero has settled for such a low wages all his career compared to messi and ronaldo and even sanchez... bale... reportedly now de gea wants the same.
true. Unless they start embarrassing spanish sides they won't be too bothered There's a reason why in europe they and PSG are not running away with it. IMO uefa have secretly decided to just keep a lid on the two clubs.
In fairness.... a certain someone on here went on JA606 and called the reds fans dippers over there cos he could. we don't mind a good bit of banter like adults here.
Tbf as a set of fans on here we've never had just one opinion on anything. Every now and again the infighting is immense.
