Premier League vs FA Cup 2021 version

?

If given the choice, would you...

  1. Stay up and lose to Leicester or the final?

  2. Go down and win the cup?

Not that there's any chance of us going down, but in a hypothetical world would you accept relegation to win the FA Cup?

If the miracle happened and we won the Cup, I’d actually take a perverse pride in also getting relegated.

I know. If it was a real choice, marginally the Cup. I’ve lived through 3 relegations, but only one Cup win. Relegation isn’t the end of the world, but winning the Cup is the best thing ever.

    I’m married to a Pie-eater; they’ve won
more than us in our time together, with that very same fate.

Pie eater, I had to think about that. Wigan, you mean? Where “even Cedric scored”?
I had a pork pie there, wasn’t bad.

Best pies I’ve had in recent years = West Ham (new ground) and Spurs (old ground). Never tried the pies at St Mary’s.

My best pie I've had (at a football ground) is Yeovil.

    the very same...

Ever had a Wigan kebab? A pie in a bread roll (or barm cake to the locals)

The cottage pie pie was good at Craven Cottage

Any old gits remember the pie shop beside the old Hants and Dorset bus Depot in Southampton? The pies came out of the ovens so hot that you risked third degree burns from the gravy...

Plested Pies if I remember correctly? They did a lovely chicken and mushroom pie, but were better known for their steak and kidney or minced beef pies.

    Those were the days.

Mine was at Kilmarnock Saints pre season 2005. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Killie_pie
I was working in Aberdeen at the time, stayed in Killie and went on to the Isle of Aran for the weekend. Fabulous weather, spectacular scenery, a wee dram or two was taken.

Yep, I'd take the cup win all day long and we'd still be above the Skates....probably

Edit: get relegated then reinstated because xxxx FC deducted points for being ****e and not deserving premier league status.
That's a proper dream that is.

This is far more one sided than I remember in 2018. Have people seen the light? <whistle>

No, we just don’t see relegation as being a possibility.

    Possibly.
