Can't really remember how Leicester's went but I know it was a pathetic attempt. Same as Klopp's bottle job squad. Which is the the ****test and most embarrassing?
Bit concerned about Klopp. I mean you, didn't have to worry about Claudio Ranieri retiring to his garden shed with a bottle of Schnapps and a Luger, but Jurgen the gurning German? That smile always unnerved me, like it was hiding a multitude of neuroses. Leicester's abject failure to defend the title wasn't really an embarrassment btw. They didn't spend eons reminding the rest of us that "We are Leicester". It didn't mean more, did it? So the answer to the OP is clearly Liverpool.
Out of the two got to be Pool hasn’t it...this was the beginning of a dynasty n all that. Lesta took the prize and ran for the hills, fair play
Leicester and Blackburn were similar weren't they? But Liverpool, they were the best squad in the world and look ready to miss out on Champions League.
Yeah I remember Phil Thompson and Jamie Carragher fapping about a decade of dominance coming up during the title celebrations. They’re in a fight to finish top 10 ffs Worse than Moyes.
As it stands, it’s Liverpool, but there’s still 11 games left for them to turn it around, and they might, so this thread could be a bit previous. That side has collapsed though. To go from not losing a home game in the league for over 3 full seasons to losing 5 on the spin at home for the first time in their history, with no win at home in 7 and only scoring 2 goals in all of those games, is beyond belief tbph. They were going to dominate domestically and in Europe for years to come last summer, and let’s not forget they were top of the league still on Christmas Day, despite the injuries they’re currently blaming for their demise. But their form since then, 12 points out of 36, is bottom 5 stuff and the pressure is mounting on the players and Klopp with every passing fixture. If they miss out on a CL place it’ll cripple them, as their budgets are based on the revenue that generates, through prize money, sponsorships, shirt deals etc. Without that income next season, and at a time that side needs obvious (expensive) surgery, and on top of the COVID issues in terms of lost revenue, it’ll need the Sherman’s to invest their own cash to both cover the shortfall and rebuild the side, and on past performance I can’t see them doing either.
It’s a huge shame really, we’re being robbed of the greatest side in football history due to a cough and the reckless Jackie Pickford
I'm not really arsed about the "worst title defence" thing. The not winning it again is more disappointing and then the prospect of no CL or Europa league is more also disappointing. The title defence thing though is not something I think about.
Yeh and I stand by that I remember cos it was around the same time you said Sancho was signing for utd all summer wannit? "Done deal" you said if I remember correctly
