Unsure. There's several Championship games on on Wednesday (all on Sky Sports red button), also the fact that we played yesterday might've gone into it as well.
It's to have the 3 day gap I believe . Europa League teams always play on a Sunday after a Thursday game
I'm pretty sure it's because I'm busy tonight, and tomorrow during the day, which means I'll be ready to get pissed by tomorrow night. Quite impressive planning really. Well done everyone involved.
It's to allow my liver to recover from the excesses of Sunday at the Boro. BTW Middlesbrough really is a ****hole.
I have never been to Middlesbrough. But, when they were in the Premier League (yes, that long ago), I believe one of their foreign players, perhaps Fabrizio Ravanelli, said he was glad he only had to go in on match days.
****ty attitude from Ravanelli and one common amongst modern day players. Less then ten miles from Boro is some of the loveliest countryside in Yorkshire and the delightful town of Yarm which is where Boro used to take potential signings to impress them. and it worked. City suffered from the same attitude, that type of player are only to pleased to take their inflated wages and kiss the badge until they get a better offer from somewhere else, but don't want to live or spend anytime amongst the fans who support the club they play for.
Ravanelli was famous for his ****ty attitude with regard to everything, though he was born in Perugia and went to Boro from Turin, so it probably was a fairly big culture shock.
The last time I drove to Middlesbrough I left my drink sodden passengers in Doctor Browns, and had a walk further on towards their bus station. I've seen far worse areas on my football travels. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
I'm impressed by the influence you have over Sky Den'... with that in mind, could you arrange for us not to be on Sky at all, as I can't remember the last time we won one when we were on...!!
Could it have been the Brazilian player too.... come to think of it, likely none of them live 'close' to Middlesbrough. Yarm maybe...
Many years ago after my father passed away I read some letters and correspondence he left. I found out that my Dad, when I was very young, had packed in his job in, in Hull, to take up a post in Middleborough. He took my mother up there to look for a house, and when they came back she refused to move as she disliked what so saw so much. They never went, and my Dad got another job in local government where he was before but in a different position. Shudder to think I might be a Boro fan now if they had gone.
Not Middlesborough but very near, Spanish ex Moto GP and world Superbike rider Carlos Checa moved from London to Great Ayton. Lived there for about 5 years.
