We are both on 39 points...but our goal difference is -4, theirs is -8. Their top scorer is Scott Sinclair, on 8 goals, and they have Tom Barkhuizen on 6 goals. Ched Evans and David Nugent are backups, but only have a goal each so far this year. That is only half the story though, as they are in free fall. They have lost 6 out of 9 games in 2021, and after their most recent defeat, 4-0 to Cardiff, there have been calls for Alex Neil to go. As for us, the ship seems to have turned. The cries for Warburton to go have all but disappeared, as he has got us playing attractive, attacking and incisive football with the results to prove it. We have won our last four, beating clubs that are above us in the table in the process. We can't get too carried away, but if things continue as they are going, we could see a late push for playoffs...and an exciting end to the season. Team news QPR: Luke Amos and Charlie Owens are sidelined with long-term knee injuries. Jordy de Wijs is edging closer to full fitness. Preston North End: Declan Rudd and Patrick Bauer have already been ruled out for the season, with Louis Moult getting closer to a return. Ryan Ledson, Sean Maguire and Billy Bodin are also nearing returns. ...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!
It is great to see "that" Adel goal again. However, I will be more than pleased with a couple of less spectacular goals from the R's. It will not be an easy match and I would be very happy with an "ugly" away win.
Scott Sinclair, Ched Evans, David Nugent. Wow, Preston are really building a brilliant attacking line up for the 2010 campaign.
Nice one Dave So to recap, we are on fire, Preston in free fall....what could possibly go wrong? Let's hope we can kick this curse of gifting soft wins to weak sides
This is exactly what we need to avoid. Hence I would rather see an "ugly" win up North, rather than "pretty" football but a defeat of the "Southern Softies"!
Hold on to your hats lads and lass, the bookies have us as favourites to win an away game!!! I honestly cannot recall the last time that happened after our promotion year. I'm sure it did but really not that often. A good sign!!
Seems to be a lot of doom and gloom about this one but it might be worth noting that the match at home ended PNE 2 - 0 QPR with both of their goals coming on penalties. We could pull this off - especially if we can discipline ourselves to nut take bad penalties.
Mike Robinson played for both. I remember going up to a cup game midweek v PNE. Got a bit pissed in Blackpool during the day. Sure we won but can't remember the score.
It's only statistics but the last time PNE recorded a home win was on December 9th. 3-0 against Middlesbrough. A good omen or not?
Yep think that deserves to be included in the ones to remember column.....3-1 with only 10 men after Cameron was sent off.....Eze scored a beauty that Hugill was celebrating before he had shot........ manning also scored a cracker....
If we manage to get through the first 30 seconds of each half without conceding, stop giving away penalties(four in successive game) stop defending like bellends and stop missing penalties we'll beat you apart from that we are crap at home
