QPR held a Fans' Forum tonight at The Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium. It featured Mark Warburton, Les Ferdinand and Lee Hoos. They discuss the new stadium, the training ground, finances, the team, loanees and potential new signings etc. It was broadcast via Facebook and will be on the official site tomorrow. If you have a Facebook account you can watch it via this link ... (1) Facebook
https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/queensparkrangers/news/54619 God knows how or why he manages to pump out a few thousand words on this but it sounds like one of the more useful forums albeit with the comforting flurry of questions about kit sizes and the range of pie flavours in the East Paddock food kiosk.
Yepp, we'll sell anyone we get a decent offer on and Messi won't be incoming this summer. We aren't treading water yet, like most Clubs, our heads are still well under.
Already looking forward to the outrage if Austin signs elsewhere on £20k a week more than anyone in our squad is on.
I watched some of it last night. The thing that jumped out of me was, club finances. Lee Hoos confirmed the owners of the club are bankrolling the club as they have very little income with no match tickets/season tickets being sold etc. I got the impression that this issue is the most pressing issue the club has at the moment. I wonder what the longer term effect will be on the club? Lee Hoos also said he hopes fans will be back in the stadium in August but he is reluctant to ask fans to buy season tickets for next season until there is more certainty that they will get what they pay for. He also confirmed season ticket holders for this season and last season will have the chance to purchase their original seats next season. With no fans present, it wasn't the most interesting fans forum I ever watched. Les was good with his answers and MW too, both toeing the club line and not saying anything controversial. MW's two year contract is up this Summer but it is a rolling contract and it will be renewed. Hoos said he thought MW and the coaching staff had done a good job. That was my take on it.
