Why are some of you talking about relegation? We'd have to botch the season on purpose to get relegated.
We looked a bit tired alright. Could have had a point but for Kane’s shot. I wish we didn’t only play out from the back though. We were even faffing about like that in injury time when surely we should be hoofing it up the pitch.
I think if Kane scores we ho on to win. Ultimately got what we deserved though, it's not the end of the world. We are a mid table championship team, off days like this are par for the course.
I thought that the squad might have been utilised a bit more. We were playing against Richard Keogh, a man who has done so much for us in recent times so maybe for the first 45 we could have gone to 4 4 2 with Austin and Chair on bench, Adomah and Willock supplying crossesbye. Have to say I am dispoointed as I wanted 3 points after our perfomance at Huddersfield earlier in the season. Hope the team can get something from our next game.
We played okay in the middle of the field.. great possession...but absolutely no penetration and no idea in the final third. We looked tired and disjointed. Austin was off the pace. Willock had a few good runs. Johansen seemed very tired...but remember he has barely played for Fulham and we are playing twice a week for 90 minutes. I expect Cameron back on Wednesday... heaven forbid... And maybe Bonne too heaven doubly forbid. But the players need the international break We have 46 points though
A bad day at the office! Huddersfield had effective tactics against us and sadly, we did not (could not) change our game plan. I will not allow it sour my weekend and we need to look forward to returning to winning ways against Millwall.
Didn’t follow this today, and skipped to the last page of the thread to gauge reactions. No incentive to read the rest of the thread. What a shame, as always consistency is the thing.
66% possession but only 4 shots. Frustrating to watch the last pass go missing time and time again, Austin seems to have inherited Dyke’s knack of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Maybe he’s played too much recently as some are saying.
Struggled to get going against another team who pressure very well. At times we showed we could move the ball quickly under pressure, but found ourselves too deep to actually do anything productive. How deep we defend has really bugged me this season. We make the pitch so much bigger for the opposition. Field and Johanson both found themselves in the defensive line on many occasions. Im not too worried about Austin to be honest. I dont think he will be around after the season to have any concerns about him. Infact I dont think any of the loan players apart from maybe De Wijs will be. We really struggle to impose our game upon teams who pressure high up the pitch. Something that can only be rectified by positioning within the formation.
