On recent form, I'd feel confident to say we are a top six team. A bit tidier today and we'd at least have had a draw.
Not wishing to steal Col’s thunder but ive always disliked Norwich the bloody jinxes. Even that season when they lost 44 games under Roeder, they still beat us twice.
I won’t moan about score as we have done bloody well of late and lost to the leaders. Onwards and upwards and look forward to next season.
Thought we played well against the stand out team in the division......scoreline kind of flatters them to some extent.....you can't gift the type of goals the 1st & 3rd like we did and also miss a penalty........2 big chances for Austin at 1-2 that you'd think at least 1 would go in, mind Pukkie should have made it 0-3 when clean through, so swings and roundabouts....... Good game to watch, better than a lot of that tippy tappy crap that's played in the worlds greatest league, 2 sides going for it and both wanting to score more than the opposition..... They have to hope there's 3 worse sides next season.....
Think we're sort of back to punching above our weight, just like we used to....... 9 Teams above us - Norwich, Watford, Brentford, Bournemouth, Barnsley, Swansea, Reading, Cardiff, Middleborough..... Of those only Barnsley would have a smaller budget than us and it's likely that Reading, Cardiff and Boro are spending far more than they can afford....... We should be in a good position for next season as those who don't go up could well be in major financial difficulties, in fact I really don't know how Reading have got away with it for so long.......
I only saw the second half, but major events decide results. 1. Seny's fumble 0-1 2. Missed penalty. 3. Charlie's missed header for 2-2. 4. Gifting them 1-3 when we looked like getting a second. Not the end of the world!
