This time we welcome Nottingham Forest to The Kiyan Prince. Forest go into this game having had nearly a week since their last game...having played and lost 4-0, at home against Fulham, on Sunday. They had won five of their previous six games before the Fulham game, a run which saw them move to 15th in the table, and solidify a mid table position. Lewis Grabban is their top scorer, with 5 goals. Steve Cooper has done well after taking over on September 21st this year, after had one point from their first seven games, and therefore sacked Chris Hughton. As for us, having won 3 and lost 3 of our last 6...we now sit in a group of six teams, stretching from 5th to 11th, on 21 points. We are 7th, and a win on Friday night would see us move up to 4th, albeit only temporarily. Llias Chair is now our top scorer, with six goals. The big question is if we can physically and mentally recover from Tuesday night, and the referring calamity that led to us not winning in normal time, and then losing on penalties. Having read the comments on here, on the Sunderland page, and on social media, I can understand the frustration, we were cheated out of a place in the League Cup quarter finals, but we have to move on, refocus on the league and go for the win. Plus we have to remember, the injustice on our league cup exit is only going to spur the team on to win the FA Cup instead. Team News QPR: Lee Wallace, Sam Field and Charlie Owens will all miss out for the R’s. Nottingham Forest: Jordi Osei-Tutu, Loic Mbe Soh, Rodrigo Ely, Braian Ojeda and Mohamed Drager may all miss out Pre-match Talk Mark Warburton (QPR manager): “It will be a very good test, they (Forest) have a very good squad. You look at the backline, the midfield, with the likes of Colback and Yates, of course Grabban up front is very strong. The options they have from the bench as well, they are a very talented team, they have a huge amount of pace, Steve [Cooper] has come in, had a good run of games and done well, so we must meet a challenge.” Steve Cooper (Forest manager): “In the second half of last season, they (QPR) were as good as anybody in terms of form and the way they played. They have good experience in the team and players who have had success in the league, so it’s a tough away game, but one we are looking forward to. COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!
With games at this rate these threads are a full time job. Cheers Dave. Bloody Forest, can’t stand them. Don’t know why.
i sincerely hope that Warburton watched Forest 0-FFC 4. As he clearly didn't watch Cov v FFC. Can't bring myself to go after Tuesday. Just hope i feel different tomorrow.
Of course he hasn't, watch us start with 2 up top and Willock out of position. I'm honestly worried by him now. Hope I'm wrong
I'm still a bit deflated from Tuesday in truth. Can't seem to muster up the optimism that I've had going into every other game this year. Still a lot to be positive about on paper. Mrs Raving is out tonight so I need to babysit the mini Ravings. On the plus side I've got a lovely pie ready to go and a good selection of ales in stock. Come on you Rs!
Enjoyed that, thanks. Zamora really was good at making others look good. Loved Nedum's goal. Glad we bombed out that right back, Simpson. He was never going to achieve anything in the game
This game has become very important. Win it and the horrors of Peterborough and Sunderland can be put behind us. Lose it and we could wind up in mid-table by the end of the weekend and the gloom and recriminations will be amplified. Come on you Rs!
Another bumper crowd as Forest have sold out the both tiers of the school end........... Friday night under our mood lighting, on sky..... lost 20 out of last 22 games played on a Friday night....... What could possibly go right? I tell you what..... all this doom and gloom from Tuesday is put behind us, we go out and smash the trees..... our much maligned defense has kept 3 clean sheets in last 6 games, we score each game, yes I know Tuesday doesn't count, but we score goals and that's what counts...... C'mon Rangers, lets f*cking do this........
