Reading currently sit 5th, but all four teams in playoff positions currently have 30 points. Their top scorer is Lucas João with 11 goals. The last six weeks have got to be disappointing from a Reading fans perspective...they were seven points clear at the top with 22 points after 8 games. They have got only 8 points since then, with five losses, two draws and two wins. As for us, I have watched us a few times now and just been frustrated that there has been no finish...we play some nice football, with good build up play that all too often comes to nothing, or creates a chance that is wasted. I suspect this season will fizzle out into nothing, which given our financial position I am actually not too disappointed by, just so long as we don't slip any further down the table. No team news on the official, so others can add what they know. For the first time this year...enjoy those who are going (actually going!!! So jealous.) and COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!
Definitely one to remember 2011, 10 man Rangers stuff the falsehoops and pull away at top of Championship...
Been accepted re the ballot for the reading match, but now debating whether to go, if I go by train that means one main line & 2 underground, other option is to drive & prob manic on roads, me wife’s not to keen on me going
Watching the video from 2011. When are we going to see that skill and grit combination again? Quite sad to watch in one way!
I watched a bit of their game tonight and for the 3rd game on the trot the opposition went down to 10 men. I will say this... they are the divers of the league. Especially that Aluko who is a diving cheat. You can’t touch them without them falling down like they have been shot. I have seen them a few times of late and most they lost. Get in their faces and challenge hard, they don’t like that. Our defence needs to be on guard as they go down easy in the box. On another note... you could hear a pin drop at the Madumpski. Absolutely no noise from the fans. I hope it’s different at HQ.
My son and I have got our tickets for Saturday. We're in the School End Lower, so presumably they're only opening the ends.
Don’t think they can open the Lower Loft as the away team come in through there and get changed somewhere on that side of the ground. Would be great if all 2000 were fairly close together in the School and Ellerslie for the atmosphere. I expect we have to be every other row.
A funny tweet last night from a Reading fan who posted a picture of the empty away end saying "The away end is busy as usual" only for a Brummie's fan to say "we still made more noise".
I am starting to feel optimistic about tomorrow! Should I: 1. Drink lots of beer? 2. Watch the Hudds game again and drink lots of beer? 3, Look at myself in the mirror for an hour and then drink lots of beer?
