    Match Preview;
We had beaten Sheffield Wednesday four times on the trot before the 'magic of the FA Cup' came along and we lost to them in January. They now sit in 16th, two places and one point behind us. I am moderately worried by their main striker, Steven Fletcher, who has 13 goals to his name already this year. A brief glance through their squad and it's good to see Mass Luongo is going strong for them, I hope he gets a warm welcome back to Loftus Road from staff and his former team mates (almost forgot there will be no supporters there).

The only glimmer of hope is that Sheffield Wednesday have lost 3 in a row, having previously won 1 and drawn 1 after the restart. I would hope that Saturday offers us the perfect opportunity to get some points on the board, but to do that Warburton has to work out how to get some of the players fired up, and encourage some more incisive passing instead of just tapping it across the field before losing it as soon as we get into the final third...Wednesday night was really bad viewing wasn't it.

Enjoy those who will be watching, and as always...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!

P.S - it has nothing to do with out match, but whenever I think of Sheffield Wednesday this also pops to mind...

Hugill on one leg would probably be an improvement on last night.

Well I'm a free agent at the moment, and given I almost scored in a charity match at LR a few years ago I must be as good a bet as anyone to play the line striker role

Obviously apart from being 54, rather unfit, unable to trap a bag of cement, and barely taller than the average blade of grass

Maybe next season when I can be the experience on the pitch to guide our new first team squad of U23s

"Almost scored" and "barely taller than the average blade of grass" will be Ilias Chair's excuse today.

More importantly than this non-game, what's the latest on their FFP hearing? Anyone know?

It must be about time to give a start to Shodipo and more time anyway to Clarke, plus another start to Masterson. Cameron looks like he needs a rest, and others need dropping/resting too, but I'm not sure who we have that can replace Ball and Amos.
We seem to have a lot of wingers and not much in central defensive midfield, perhaps we could borrow Luongo if it is a non-game.... I think Oteh should get another game, no good alternatives anyway, and Eze should play further forward. In 4 2 3 1 maybe :

    Lumley
    Kakay Masterson Barbet Wallace
    Amos Manning
    Shodipo Eze BOS
    Oteh

    Thanks and very interesting.

Ir makes sense. My concerns are if Wallace is fit? If not, then we will see Manning at RB.

    We shall see!

Manning at LB I guess if Wallace not fit, and one of Ball or Cameron into defensive midfield.

    Talk about Hobson’s choice.

There are a lot of players who don’t deserve a game but surely now is the time to bin Amos. Nothing to play for in a nothing game against another no-hoper. Give Bettache a run of games.

I got the impression from his late substution earlier in these BCD games that Bettache was yet another winger, he did well out wide and thing I read he was best wide. He didnt look so effective the few minutes he played in a more defensive role. Isn't he another wide attacking player mainly?

**** knows but I’d rather see an 18 stone middle-aged fan given an hour than being a crèche for that useless Spurs ****.

I think Amos is ok, not fantastic. When asked to press their defence he is very good at that.

    I would play Ball.

Cameron, as you mentioned, probably needs a rest.

In the way a horse who has taken heavy falls in consecutive races needs a rest?

Amos played once for Spurs to give people the impression he was a good player. Smart move by Spurs and we fell for it.
If he’d stayed at Spurs he wouldn’t have got within a mile of their first team again.
