Will be interesting to see if Capoue continues to shine as he has over the past season.

Quique Sanchez Flores thinks Watford's punishing 8-0 defeat to Manchester City will damage his reputation with his employers, despite coming in just his second game in charge.

The head coach apologised numerous times to the club's supporters following the thumping loss, but claims that the nature of the performance makes his position as coach more difficult.

He cannot be looking over his shoulder after just two games, or can he?

 

Probably the only thing keeping him in a job tonight is that he has only been back a couple of weeks.

 

Well he did leave last time out of choice - was a bit surprised Flores came back tbh.

Also whilst its a squad Flores has inherited he did choose to play an inexperienced lad at full back and bring in Mariappa who hasn't played all season against the Champions.

And McKinley was sacked after 2 draws and a win in the Championship!

Why was Kabasele drooped and clearly there is a general issue with Janmaat as to why he isn't playing?

Messing around with the defence hardly helps .

 

Quite a few Flores out comments around .

Probably not helped by another game without a goal or real attacking threat and losing to Everton/Silva.

But we are more solid in defence and not sure sacking another manager is the answer .

We'd stlll have the same squad and worryingly injuries .

I'd be looking at the fitness of the players and their ability to attack with purpose creating chances.

 

We are playing his game.. And not leaking so much over the last few.. But must score...

 

We couldn't score in a Brothel....maybe that should be sung to get the players tails up!!

To be fair, you've pulled a few rabbits out of the hat with that tactic over recent years. Its just the rehiring of QSF that has dented that record badly.

 

Should be joined by the head of recruitment as well. Player recruitment appalling given our obvious failings in the second half of last season, if we the fans could see the issues, ageing squad, lack of pace at the back etc how on earth the person responsible has failed with the other senior management to address them?
