You do know that the ref doesn’t give offside don’t you? Also that you seemingly managed to be able to kick our players with no recompense. The foul on Hume was a very poor challenge and, with another ref, could even have seen red. Yet with this pleb it wasn’t even a foul.
if i am honest i could not see why it was not given, all i can think of is that he was 'ahead of the play' when the ball came to him...please don't ask me to explain that, it is just one of the expressions i hear from our beloved pundits lately to explain why a goal was not allowed.
Cracking result. Not fussed about the cups this year myself but well done to the lads and the fans. Safe journey home all. Hopefully injuries aren’t too serious in terms of tonight (Stewart, Hume, Gooch and Dajaku) and we can capitalise on Wigan losing tonight by winning at Rotherham.
Yeah we got lucky with some decisions and I sympathise with the QPR fans who were hard done by, but with some of the ****ing laughable refs we've had in league one recently I'm not going to lose sleep over it. The penalty shootout was a chance to right any wrongs but we dominated it. It looked like there was a great vibe between Hoffman and Burge after the game which was great to see. There's always been a keepers union in football but Hoff looked genuinely delighted for him.
That’s generally known as human error. The same “human error” that saw the ref give a throw in to QPR when one of your players took our left back out. Although you do realise the ref didn’t disallow your goal. The linesman did
I’ve watched the replay of their offside goal back. If you watch, the first ball is played into the box to a player 3 yards offside. If he’s not there, defender doesn’t need to clear the ball. He’s also the first person to the ball after the defender’s header. Does this not make him offside? aI know it’s immaterial, but, to me, it should be offside as the ball is passed to the offside player regardless of what he does
If the game was decided on support it would've been an overwhelming victory for Sunderland. It was so constant QPR couldn't get a song going. Even the idiot in the Sombrero sat on his hands for most of the game.
Our fans were a class above tonight, proud to be part of it.. Did we have any support in the lower section, as couldn’t see?
Hey is this a first for us this season a ref giving us something ! we have been done this season. Now Liverpool and Salah at home please in a packed SOL in front of Kryil until l the derby next season !. and never doubt our supporters, this could top 1973 Lee could better bob stokoe's season dare i say ! if we win the league cup and go up, Europa league lol. The downside would be Burnley at home instead of the mags.
I can’t see any of them mentioning the fact Hume could have had his leg broken by an absolutely disgraceful challenge in the first half which somehow went unpunished? Anyway, I hope Leicester get past Brighton tonight and we get them next, preferably at home. It’s about time we had a home draw.
Having studied the 'goal' from various clips and photos I've come to the.conclusion that I don't give a toss
There’s quite clearly daylight between him and the defender, so as the commentators would say ‘he’s offside’.
I think it's obvious this isn't he moment the linesman saw offside as it hit the defenders arm. It was the original ball played over the top which was headed out (player was offside position but didn't look that involved) or his position for the other players effort that our keeper parried into his feet he was. It was 100% not that photo.
