We've been lucky with all of our hens over the years, but they've all either been fully vaccinated ex-commercial hens or quite expensive rare breed stuff that was inoculated against virtually everything. The only thing that's killed any of ours is age or fox. Hope it's just the one infected hen you've got Fats, be a shame to lose more or all of the rest of the flock
I’m not 100% on Mareks, but it’s the only thing I can find that says paralysis of the legs. I started wondering if she was just playing me along as she liked the warm baths she was getting
Mareks doesn't just affect the legs though, she didn't look like she had any issues with her neck from your photo, and they normally stop eating pretty quickly as their crop collapses...she could just be egg bound, lazy and pampered. Good luck with her anyway
We're down to just Bubba, Rusty and Nugget now as the rest gradually died off. You soon have a replacement for her though
Sorry to hear that, Fats ..... Looks like the old dog in this pic may well be going over the rainbow bridge soon, too Might even have to say goodbye to Pepper
My son has a cockapoo that could be used as a poison detector. Want to know if a plant is poisonous...offer it to Bertie...he'll eat it if it is and he fancies a nice expensive visit to the vet. A lily bulb cost me £200 (as he was in my care).
Seems like there has been some sort of ecological incident in the Mar Menor, on the Costa Blanca. Dead fish everywhere.
Thinking of changing my phone from Samsung Galaxy s9+ to the sony Xperia 5 . Any one have any thoughts between the two ?
