Party politics ceases to have any relevance at times like this, this kind of senselessness is an attack on our democracy itself. RIP Sir David, thoughts and prayers with your family.
Exactly! It doesn’t matter what party you support or whether you agree with his politics, this is an attack on democracy! Appalling
That's the reason why I posted it on this thread. This isn't politics. This is a senseless attack which took the life of (by all accounts), a generous, kind and just a thoroughly decent man.
And as we have been reminded during the many tributes to Sir David, the words of the last MP to be murdered 5 years ago, Jo Cox, bear a special relevance now. There is more which unites us than divides us, and we should all remember that.
Other than the overwhelmingly awfulness of this is the sadness I felt when I realised that I wasn’t shocked. I remember the shock when jo cox was killed....just a few years later it almost feels normal. So many stabbings and bombing dull the senses...when they really shouldn’t. RIP
I said to Siri “Surely it’s not going to rain”. Siri replied “Yes it is, and don’t call me Shirley”. I’d left it in Airplane mode.
If you have his number , please call him and ask him to check his PM from me ? I’m NOT asking you or anyone for his number
