So you've not conceded a goal yet?

 

Thats right, 24 scored 0 conceded. We're the only team (who have played more than 1 game) that are still to concede in the whole of the Yorkshire leagues. As you might guess the GK is rather happy with that.
Not the top goal scorers though. Couple of teams above on 30 and another on 29.

Probably could have conceded yesterday however if it wasn't for our keeper.

 

At least you've someone to point at as better thannyou to motivate your attack.

Those other two teams are in different leagues though. Rotherham 1s on 30 are 3 divisions above and Scarborough 1s are in the Northern half of our league so we wont have to play them this season

 

I actually miss the hockey days, was always a good Saturday afternoon travelling, playing the matches and that, plus it's a fun game mostly

Would get back into it, but I've been out for so long and concentrate on another sport so it would be unnecessary expense buying the bits of gear i'd need. Strings on one of my tennis racquets broke yesterday so that'll be like 25 quid for a restring that I don't wanna spend

 

That's alot cheaper than it cost me to get my last Hockey Stick

 

Well yeah, but have you seen the price of tennis racquets as well these days ?!

 

About the same as a Stick. How long do they last for?
Hockey stick will go for about 3-5 seasons.

 

They last for decades if you only use them once or twice and then put them in the garage with all the other sports equipment you barely use

 

Probably similar, racquet frames go a bit soft if you play a lot

There's less chance of them breaking I guess as you haven't got another similar object constantly smacking into it, unless you're a racquet breaker but to do that you need mad cash plus it's really insolent

its some big thing with the full chair and wheel set up etc. they all looked quite good and action was better than real life... sadly... though driving into earch other and punctures and broken nose cones were absent.

 

Today's report. 15-0 win.

Opposition turned up with 10 players and then decided at half time and being 6-0 down that they'd play the 2nd half without a GK (who was keeping them in the game)

 

Ah the old kicking back? Didn't think that was still a thing...or literally no one in nets.

 

Kicking back, but he spent **** all time actually kicking back as they don't have to wear any keeper kit these days (just the helmet on Short Corners)
Worst decision they could have made, bunch of double barrelled posh boy students. I fear for the future.
