From Peterborough Times. I think they are both "one of our own" Jay Bates, 18, of Prospect Crescent in Twickenham, has been charged with being in possession of a flare at a sporting event. He has been bailed to appear at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court on 19 November. Anthony Dixon, 56, of Beverley Road in Chiswick, has been charged with going onto a playing area at a football match. He has been bailed to appear at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court on 26 November. How sad!
I saw this Anthony Dixon incident, it was right in front of me. If 56 and running on the pitch to celebrate a goal wasn’t stupid enough, the steward look like he said come on your out of here to which he tried to fight his was back into the crowd, other stewards grabbed him and a small fight happened, the police just watched the melee. he deserves a fine and a year ban from football at least.
I dream of how things would be this season with Eze, Chair & Willock - would scare the opposition s**tless.
QPR U23's beat Bristol City away today ( 26th Oct. ) Sam Field played 45 minutes, George Thomas scored twice and Charlie Owens played for an hour.
Terribly damning statement from Hand F today re Linford Christie A Hammersmith & Fulham spokesperson said: “We are huge supporters of QPR and are willing to bend over backwards to help them as we have done with Fulham FC and Chelsea FC. “However, QPR have not been in touch with the council on any plans of substance for over two years. At our last meeting with their CEO, we asked him about why they were apparently struggling to find even the £20m funds to build the Warren Farm training ground. “We’ve told QPR we cannot gift hundreds of millions of pounds worth of public land to QPR’s multi-millionaire overseas owners. “We have suggested that if QPR are serious about any site in the borough which they need financial help with that they look into a new fan-based ownership scheme for the club so we can guarantee it is the club that benefits and not their owners.”
If true, that is pretty bad regarding them hearing nothing from QPR. And H&F would be making a fair statement here. However, did it need to go public?
I can't remember us ever rooting for an ex player like we all do for Eze. I think it's got a lot to do with him being a decent, humble and nice chap, as well a brilliant footballer.
Classy. Changed my view on this sort of thing when I saw there was a QPR version As others said previously, clubs lost players to the Great War, so don’t see what’s wrong in marrying the poppy to your team. Besides, proceeds to the Royal British Legionx
