SPL (SPFL1), Sunday 24/02/2019 : Hamilton Academical 0-5 Rangers That was the perfect response from Rangers, having to play without Morelos ... 5 goals from 5 different goalscorers. SPL (SPFL1), Wednesday 27/02/2019 : Rangers v Dundee, KO 19:45 hours. 26/02/2019 : Will Rangers score 5 again tomorrow night ? ... Maybe not, but assuming Alfredo Morelos plays (a fair assumption, I think), it would be good to see the efforts at Hamilton continue, with more than just 'El Buffalo' scoring the goals for Rangers. SPL (SPFL1), Wednesday 27/02/2019 : Rangers 4-0 Dundee The stream was duff so I have had to follow this game on my Twitter feed, going by which it reads as a superb performance from Rangers. It was made even better by having 4 goals from 4 different players, Glen Kamara (4), James Tavernier (8), Alfredo Morelos (23) and Jermaine Defoe (89). The icing on the cake was Hamilton's win at Aberdeen, which gives Rangers an 8 point lead over Aberdeen, with 28 games played by both teams. Makes for an interesting Cup-tie at Pittodrie next Sunday. Attendance : 48,859 (SSN) SPL matches, 27/02 & 02/03/2019 : Wednesday 27th February Aberdeen 0-2 Hamilton Academical Heart of Midlothian 1-2 Celtic Kilmarnock 0-0 Motherwell - Abandoned after 61', fog. Scottish FA Cup Round 6, Sunday 03/03/2019 : Aberdeen 1-1 Rangers Once again the stream was duff so I had to follow this game via my Twitter feed and Sportsound. The Replay at Ibrox is scheduled for Tuesday 12/03/2019 19:45 hours. Attendance : 15,395 (SSN)
SPL (SPFL1), Friday 08/03/2019 : Hibernian v Rangers, KO 19:45 hours, BT Sport. 04/03/2019 : Two away wins, for Rangers and Aberdeen chronologically, will produce the best strategic outcome from the 29th round of matches over next weekend. This would reduce the gap to Celtic to 5 points, which Rangers would then be able to overcome, provided we match the Opposition's results and beat them twice. Looking ahead to the split (after 33 games), away wins for Heart of Midlothian, St Johnstone and Kilmarnock would be handy too, the latter to maintain the pressure on Aberdeen. SPL matches, 08, 09 & 11/03/2019 : Friday 8th March Hibernian 19:45 Rangers - BT Sport 2 Saturday 9th March Celtic 15:00 Aberdeen Dundee 15:00 Heart of Midlothian Livingston 15:00 St Johnstone Motherwell 15:00 Hamilton Academical Monday 11th March St Mirren 19:45 Kilmarnock - SKY

SPL (SPFL1), Friday 08/03/2019 : Hibernian 1-1 Rangers Two points dropped by Rangers in a game that should have been won by a large margin at half-time. Attendance : 20,065 (SSN)
09/03/2019 : Draws all round so far, so the points gaps are 'as you were' for the top 3 in the SPL. SPL matches, 08, 09 & 11/03/2019 : Friday 8th March Hibernian 1-1 Rangers Saturday 9th March Celtic 0-0 Aberdeen Dundee 0-1 Heart of Midlothian Livingston 3-1 St Johnstone Motherwell 3-0 Hamilton Academical Monday 11th March St Mirren 0-1 Kilmarnock - this puts Kilmarnock 1 point behind Aberdeen.

In view of the Hibernian incident, this is as relevant to Rangers as it is to Aston Villa, so I am sharing it here. 11/03/2019 : The assailant has been given 14 weeks in gaol and fined £350, £100 of which is compensation to Jack Grealish. Two things come to my mind from this, Equity and Reaction. Equity exists to ensure similar crimes get similar sentences. The 14 weeks given here is way below what should have been given, when the attack on Enkelman is considered for comparison. Reaction goes the other way. To my mind whereas the condemnation is understood, the 'something must be done' mantra can only lead to bad law. How would fans be stopped from encroaching on the pitch ... fences ? One answer to that option ... Hillsborough. Then there are justice and fairness. Are we to see the overwhelming majority of fans and the clubs they support penalised due to the misbehavior of the odd individual ? How happy would we as AVFC fans be if Villa Park was closed because one idiot (claiming to be a 'Fan' of AVFC) misbehaved as that Bluenose twat did on Sunday ? The many must not be penalised in order to provide an answer to the 'something must be done' clamour. We are all responsible for our actions. If the Sunday incident had occurred in a shopping centre, I doubt if the shopping centre would be closed to customers on account of it.
