what's more important to an FA though? disrupting a few clubs or the possibility of one of their clubs winning a european trophy?
You got beat 'cause you were ****e. That was the truth of it. You bored your way to the final playing the most negative tactics possible and carried that right on to the final. Fortunately, you weren't able to take one of the very few chances that fell your way and Zenit ran out confortable winners. Your loss had nothing to do with Celtic, Phil O'Donnell, the SFA or anyone else.
So Celtic didn't postpone games for Burns because they were worried about when they would have to replay them? Are you serious? I heard it before and some fella posted a link on the old 606, i'll try and find it for you.
It's not "disruption" which was the issue, it was "Disadvantaging" other clubs to the benefit of Rangers which was an issue.
ps Are these the same Huns who threatened to go on strike rather than play for Scotland because some blond bimbo priness got ****ed by a bollard in Paris?
I'll save you the trouble, it was wee Fergus who said it and he did not speak for Celtic FC then any more than he does now He had long since left Celtic when Phil died so now your argument is in tatters too.
this is class int it? sometimes miss the olden days of arguing where both sides never EVER conceed but unfortunately I have work to do. please log in to view this image
The season was already extended and given there was to be a European Championships played there was no time to play the games even if Celtic had requested they be cancelled? They could have had to wait until AFTER the European championships to finish the season potentially.
Were some Rangers players not friendly with o'donnell ??and also wanted the game called off as well, if Mcgeady had not been wrongly suspended none of these arguments would ever have started
So Celtic didn't even contemplate postponing because it would eat into training time for the Euros? Listen to yourself, that's complete bollocks. The POD postponement suited them, the potential TB postponement would not have. It's clear as day. But all that matters **** all now. That was a great season for us and would have been fantastic to win the treble/quad but that's football!
I dont know if celtic did or did not contemplate asking for games to be cancelled i do know that they would not have been allowed to though - whether they wanted to or not You can get away cancelling games in January/February due to exceptional circumstances such as deaths or frozen pipes- becuse there is still time to re-arange them before the season must be finished. If there is no time to re-arrange them before the season is supposed to be finished then you cant cancel them Again though this doesnt suit your point so you wont accept that
What players in the SPL that season played any real significance in any national lineup? Another thing, your Alan Hutton point about the 9M is so flawed its not even funny, if you knew anything about that transfer you would've known that not all the money went through the books until 2009.
