According to folk on here. McCoist said there at the afternoon press conference that it was a club decision not to pursue further interest in Uchebo after speaking to Durrant & McDowell.

 

His agent said he had a poor first impression of the club. Never mentioned facilities.

Pure coincidence of course. Either that or (as I said) the Rangers scouts are as much use as a chainsaw in a chocolate forest.

 

The scouting system has been pish for years, everyone knows that.

No, i'm merely giving you my opinion and providing possible reasons why 2 players walked after a day's training.

1: The scouts are **** (bad scouting and bad planning, McCoist has been at Ibrox long enough to realise it)
2: The players were misled about the wages on offer (bad planning/straightforward lies)
3: Rangers deemed 2 players (in as many days) unfit to wear the royal blue (bad scouting (see 1)
4: Rangers were not fully aware the players' wage demands (bad planning (see1)

 

So the fella being unimpressive in training is definitely not a factor.
I take it every player that has a trial with Celtic signs or what is the reason when they don't, bad scouting, telling the player lies?

He didnt sepcify it was Murray Park that put him off. It was first impressions of the club. The fact they mention McCoist invited him over and wasnt there to assess him might be what he is hinting at here. So not the fact he didnt rate the facilities - but more the fact he thought the club wasnt very professional in its handling off him

 

Celtic have had a shedload of players on trial over the last few years, I don't recall any of them getting canned after a day. Maybe Rangers coaches can spot a bad un in a day or less which begs the question why they gave them a week's trial in the first place? No?

 

Well going by that theory, it's not the signing of Kaka, he was on a trial. Does every manager check out every trialists or do they listen to their back room staffs assessment?

Yes and 1 of them was offered a trial with an EPL team. It's not that difficult to work out that most players would pick the EPL over the SPL.
