You couldn't possibly have thought I was being serous? Even with the "silly sausage" bit thrown in? (sp mistake on purpose ya boring bastards! See superhopper)
You ****s are unreal! So had wee Craigy paid the tax paye then rangers would still have been liquidated because of HMRC?
Nope. They would have waited for the outcome of the appeal, and had they won forced us into admin if we said "sorry, we don't have the dough".
I think we are all missing the big points here. WHAT ABOUT THE NURSES, PENSIONERS AND THE ARMED FORCES WE ROBBED?
Who said that? I said you were liquidated because HMRC rejected your CVA. Gambol agreed. I implied the reason behind their rejection was the BTC. Gambol agreed this was the most likely explanation. Had Whyte paid HMRC the PAYE you would've gone into administration earlier, not avoided administration. The reason you went into administration was because you were insolvent, paying bills would've made you more insolvent, not less
Pish, had craigy not been a wee Barry bullshiter we would have dipped into a wee bit of debt, like your beloved Celtic are/were...
Remember Lloyds? They called in your bank debt so no, you couldn't just have run up a "wee bit of debt". The only reason you could maintain running costs was by not paying tax. If you had paid tax, you wouldn't have been able to pay running costs. Result? Administration. Edit: A good point made by Richard Wilson at the Herald: no-one wanted to buy Rangers because of the potential for BTC liability. Except Craigy Whyte. Without the BTC, no Craigy Whyte.
Nope. As I understand it Whyte had the Ticketus £25m which somehow miraculously either never materialised or disappeared - it certainly never went to fund Rangers.
Your memory is pish Gambol . The ticketus money was used to pay off Lloyds. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...te-used-24m-season-ticket-money-pay-bank.html
I forgot about Lloyds Canny remember now, did they get the ticketus dough? Good point made by Wilson. It certainly gave Murray problems selling the club. No pending BTC, most likely no Whyte. Therefore, had HMRC not decided to use Rangers as a test case as regards EBT's (and it seems almost certain they did) then none of it would have happened. Damn you HMRC Sadly, it's all moot now. What's done is done. Winning the BTC, however, does put a bit of a shine on the turd. Rangers said they were in the right all along and it's been upheld.
I've said for months now that I'm bored senseless with the whole tax thing. If HMRC appeal, this goes on for potentially months/years
