The first time I'd ever heard of Seaton Delaval when he played for Liverpool ...

... a player who made the absolute most of his talent, RIP.

No, Seaton Delaval is where the renowned local bike "Dorty Dot from Delaval" hails from <laugh>

Stood behind us in the queue at Hillsbro' 1973 chatting away with the supporters before the game , he was so at ease, and a beautiful smile, RIP Ray.

What a player he was. Paisley once said that of all the stars in that team of 74-82 , Ray Kennedy was the one that all the top European teams would most like to sign.

Excellent centre forward anyway, and told by Paisley , that ' you're playing left midfield son" and he was even better.

I always thought he looked like a player brought up in another country. His touch was fantastic, no one could get the ball off him, he never wasted it and scored great goals.

Dealt a hideous hand man. Over half of his life spent suffering from bloody Parkinson's. RIP Ray.
