Post your selections here if you're having a flutter; Geoff Ogilvy 110/1 - Apart from a 175/1 2nd for me earlier in the season, Geoff hasn't done a lot to whet the appetite. However, 2 decent weekend rounds at Muirfield, suggests his game isnt far from spot on for him. £5 e/w Seung-Yul Noh 100/1 - Played well without threatening the leaders last week in the low key PGA event during the Open. Surely worth a few quid in the hope his game continues on an upward spiral. £3 e/w Billy Horshel 35/1 - Outstanding talent, not sure the course will be particularly favorable to him but il give him a whirl once again I think bubba watson and dustin johnson will go well but they fall short of the price requirment i go with for golf bets, in that i like an each way price of 28/1 + Goodluck all who play
Good on yer Smokin for starting the Canadian Open thread, i promise i will be back with my build ups as soon as, but ive just not had the time so far to look at owt recently... Anyway i have done a few for this and they are... Chris Kirk @ 50/1 Kevin Chappell @ 66/1 Patrick Reed @ 100/1 James Driscoll @ 125/1 All 4 of em have made the top 10 in the last 4 events so im hoping for a bit of form to continue to flow through their play here this week... Good luck to you Smokin... I'm glad to be back to some sort of reality watching the golf...
Leaderboard after the 1st round... Leader - Brenden Steele @ -7 T7 - Chris Kirk................ -4 T7 - Kevin Chappell......... -4 T7 - Patrick Reed............ -4 T16 - James Driscoll......... -3 T29 - Seung-Yul Noh........ -2 T41 - Billy Horschel.......... -1 T69 - Geoff Ogilvy............ E 777, the number of the beast, well nearly... Cant last as ive had a mare this year with my golf betting, but it looks good for now... Still, non of em are in the money as of yet...!!! It could all go a bit Pete Tong yet...
How gutted would you be if you had backed MAHAN. Halfway leader but withdraws as wife goes into labour.
Well another weekend that has flashed me by due to work, but i did ok out of it. The Senior British Open was on in Southport and so with an influx of around 5,000-10,000 extra people it was all go, go, go... I didnt get to see very much in the way of sport over this weekend but i did get a £50 casino chip from a Yank who must have won on the cards in the casino. The fare only came up to £14, he gave me £20 note and a £50 chip...!!! Nice people those yanks... Thing is i need to cash the bloomin thing in now and im not a member... None of my picks made any impression after their first round exploits and to be honest i didnt think that they would. Onwards to the next event in which i hope to hit something soon, or its fast becoming a big stinker of a year for me in the golf...!!!
