All over them at the end, shame we let them back in early in the half. 50 points up, we'd all have taken that at Christmas...
Well sort of happy with a point. Last 20 mins it was all Rangers but they should have scored earlier. Onwards and upwards.
Chance for Kakay at the end there. Ends 1-1. Could have gone either way that. We had our periods on top, so did they. Thought we should have had a pen. De Vijs looks good, but think our back line looks better with Cameron organising it.
It's funny... I actually was a bit concerned when we scored just before half time. I had a feeling that would make Reading come out a lot better, and they did. If we'd gone in 0-0 at half time, I felt like we would have come out strong at the start of the 2nd 45.
Wouldn't argue we deserved to win that but would argue we probably should have by the end. Another good showing from Dykes and Wallace tbf. Willock looking more and more useful.
just got back from my walk. A point away against the fakes isnt too bad. Dykes scoring is brill - hopefully he will go on a little run now. Was hoping that disappearing for the game would result in another 3 points...however we should almost be safe from relegation. Surprised Willock didnt start however different formations against differnt opponents
When their keeper was growing up in Brazil he realised that he was really **** at football, so he became a goalie, There is no other explanation. Good point, but we should have put away one of those chances, but so could they have done, as well. Dykes was MOM again. Although there were a few other candidates.
A good away point against a team who've not had a draw at their place this season until now and who are, sadly, a tad better than us really. Having said that, some good chances at the end one of which Charlie MIGHT have put away.
Great to see Dykes score while hearing he’s had another good came too. Sounds like he’s learning with each game in this division. Taking a lead, weathering some pressure and then coming back to create dances in the fourth quarter of the game are all positives for me. Would have loved all three points, but a point isn’t all bad. Well don’t the Rs for a good run in a tight clutch of games. Chance to get DeWijs fit again (but worrying he might be an injury risk player), opportunity to refresh for non-internationals, get some training pitch time and come back for a good run-in.
Would have taken a point before kick off so not so bad....... That should see us safe from any relegation worries.... Big wins for Rotherham and Weds, Brum in serious trouble, Rotherham have 4 games in hand. Both Coventry and WRDC not out of trouble yet......oh goody....
Had to stay off the this thread as pillocks kept giving the cricket score, which I was recording Sounds as though a draw was fair enough in the end. Good that Dykes scored. Derby look in trouble lol.
Actually good day at the office. Draw away at top 6 club Dykes scored from open play. Came back into it...and could have won. Still playing well and good spirit. We need to keep most of this team together.. Including Wallace, Willock, DeWisj and Dykes ( who will shine...he has now had two excellent games) Get Johansen definately...and Austin if he doesn't want silly money. But I have a feeling Dykes and Bonne may both come good.. Next season...
A well deserved point. Pleased with that generally. I thought the ref made some strange calls though.
QPR boss Warburton gives verdict after 1-1 draw at play-off chasing Reading 20 March 2021 Sports Reporter 0 Comments BY NICK KITUNO Mark Warburton felt Queens Park Rangers dropped two points as they had to settle for a draw with promotion-chasing Reading. Lyndon Dykes opened the scoring with his first goal since November before Yakou Meite pulled the Royals back level early into the second half. Both sides produced chances to go in front but lacked the clinical finishing to secure all three points. The draw sees QPR stay 12th in the Championship table. Warburton said: “The feeling in the dressing room here is we dropped two points. We get the goal before half-time, concede a goal, we can’t concede [a goal like that]. It’s a challenge and we’ve got to defend it better. “Then there was a better reaction from the players, we dominate the last 25, 30 minutes, create good chances against a very good Reading team. “The feeling is one of disappointment, which if you’re coming to a place like Reading, and [you are] disappointed with a point, we’re moving in the right direction.” Dykes put the visitors ahead just before half-time on 44 minutes. Ilias Chair’s throughball found Lee Wallace, who cut it back for the Scotland striker to score. It was his first goal for QPR since the 2-1 defeat away to Brentford in November and his sixth this season since joining from Livingston. Reading hit back after 57 minutes when Meite chased a long ball over the top, and fought off Rob Dickie before slotting the ball between Seny Dieng’s legs and in. Rangers produced several chances late on, coming close through substitute Chris Willock and Stefan Johansen, but could not convert. However, the result was also blemished by injuries sustained by Jordy de Wijs and Dom Ball. Warburton had praise for Dykes and said: “Lyndon worked tirelessly again today. [He had] a good game in midweek and had another very good game today, and now he goes away with Scotland now full of confidence, I’m sure.” De Wijs was withdrawn just five minutes into the second half for Geoff Cameron, while Ball, who came off the bench to replace Chair, was replaced with Todd Kane in added time. He added: “Jordy just tweaked his groin. He hoped he would get through [the game] okay but he stretched it at that first set-piece, felt it, and we’ve got to be careful. “Dom came on, did really well, but it’s an impact injury on his hip which he thought he could run off but it was causing a lot of pain. “He’s having ice now and being assessed but it is what it is, it’s the nature of the game.”
