    Well with rep, you get rep power (below your avatar) and that determines how much rep you can give.

    Rep is a way of determining the useful users and the rubbish ones. (most NUFC are useful) and when you get 100, 200, 300 etc rep - your rep power goes up 1 and when you get past 1000, 2000, 3000 etc your rep power also goes up 1.

    You can see your rep by clicking on your own star next to 'blog this post' or going to settings

    Except it doesnt separate the rubbish users from the good users. It just demonstrates who is a part of the online clique, and who isnt.

    For example this post is not really a bad one by me (Not brilliant, kind of average Id say) But because I brought up a contradictory point, and because Im a Sunderland fan on the Newcastle board, I will get "neg rep" which involves an anonymous message of abuse being sent to me.

    We're not all like that you know. I've rarely neg repped someone. Most of us are pretty cool, unless you're a complete tool and a wum and such. Which is the same we'd get if we went over to your board.

    Not always that way MackemMatty. Normal posters don't get neg rep, it's the ones that go out of their way to do a bit of stirring that get negged.
