More tests = more positive cases The main thing to keep an eye on is hospital admissions They are worried about Covid +flu at same time I was amazed to read there are around 50000 winter flu deaths each year! one thing I can’t stand is people getting a test for their piece of mind!! If you have symptoms try to get a test but all the drama queens can **** off!
Would you let people buy food? How about medicine? What about people in hospital or long term care; would you let people look after them? If the answer to all 3 is "yes", then we are just re doing what we did in March. 12 weeks didn't kill it then. 2 weeks won't now.
Its interesting that this increase in infections coincides with universities going back. Amazed that we are still allowing overseas students in when most courses are going to be online. Two of the wife’s family have just arrived. One spent a week self-isolating in London, then moved up to Newcastle where her whole student flat has been asked to self-isolate as one of her flatmates has tested positive. The other one got straight off her plane and straight in to her University apartment. I presume thats happening over the whole country.
Aye mate and tonight I’m in double wum heaven... roasting Gala and Fener fans here. It’s like shooting fish in a barrel.. or having some sport with the unwashed! iyi akşamlar!
I just find issues with the restrictions now. It's clearly isolate your self as much as possible unless there is a chance of money changing hands. the stories of security forcing Students to stay in student accommodation are horrific in my eyes. Tantamount to false imprisonment. Nothing is being thought through it's just all reactionary measures that are no where near enough to actually be useful. The problem is that the economy can't take the hit of another full lockdown. So we are left in this middle ground where the economy is still performing really poorly and the virus is not being slowed all that much. Sweden (Allow for personal accountability and liberty) or China (Weld people into their residences) - we have to make our minds up about which route to follow. This middle ground is not working.
London bombings - everybody was encourage to go to London, don't be defeated by terror. Manchester concert attack - everybody should go to concerts, they're perfectly safe. Processed foods cause cancer - McDonalds profits continue to soar, supermarkets stick some labels on packs about salt content Smoking kills, alcohol kills, gambling destroys lives - all still legal, with the latter 2 actively encouraged (open pubs before schools during lockdown). A virus that kills far less than influenza does the rounds - EVERYONE PANIC, STAY HOME, BUY BOG ROLL, LOSE JOBS, LOSE HOUSES. China has likely created this virus, in itself it's an attempt to destabilise capitalism, a form of terrorist attack, yet what we're doing is bowing down to it. Makes. No. ****ing. Sense.
China hasn’t “created” the virus. Scientists generally acknowledge that the virus is not “man made”. The corona virus has killed more people than flu. Public Health England told ITV News: "The number of flu cases and deaths due to flu-related complications varies each flu season. "The average number of deaths in England for the last five seasons, 2014/15 to 2018/19, was 17,000 deaths annually. "This ranged from 1,692 deaths last season, 2018/19, to 28,330 deaths in 2014/15." Corona virus has resulted in approximately 45,000 additional deaths so far this year. It always helps in these situations to stick to the facts and not the conspiracy theories.
Wet food markets, but there's so much money in it they have tired to invent bullshit other explanations as to why it came about
Old age, underlying medical conditions, cancer, heart disease, lung disease, suicides, and so on. Point being only 6% of patients dying with Covid-19 have that as the only illness, and even then there's grey areas. The net increase of deaths in this country is less than 0.06% of the population. I'm not saying burn the masks, french kiss your elderly neighbours and cough into peoples faces. I'm saying that there should be levels of common sense applied, rather than the bullshit made-up measures this government is coming out with. It's like Brexit all over again, ministers getting deeply involved in **** they know nothing about just to be see to be 'doing something'.
Given that these are ‘additional deaths’ we are talking about then some explanation is required to account for them. A simple statement citing old age etc really does not reflect the true reality of what is happening. The one clear variable from previous years is COVID-19. Occam’s razor would seem to apply. The simplest explanation is usually the best one.
