You can argue that Philip didn't know or that he didn't try and protect Andrew, but you can't start with that nonsense about defending Andrew.

Doesn't matter if he didn't. I'm the same age as Andrew, born in the same year. If I slept with a teenager it would be MY responsibility to ensure she was a consenting adult. It's not that difficult to understand. And as for the different states thing - have you seen what Gaetz is accused of? Its called sex trafficking. Again, it the responsibility of the adult to check , not the minor.

 

I am not defending Andrew in any way. If he is guilty of sex with a minor then he needs to face the consequences.

I have merely pointed out the reality of the difference in US law from state to state and that an English Prince would be extremely popular over there.

What I won't do is judge before a court does.

The State to State thing I don't. Are you saying if Andrew was in some tinpot country where sex with a 14 year old was legal, that was ok because their law allows it? I don't think you would.

No not at all ... very different... but the girl who is now making the accusations says she met him several times... if the first time he slept with her was in a state where the age of consent was 16 so OK and the next time in a state where it was 17 whilst she was still 16 ...is that really rape?

For me he needs to go to the States and either clear his name or face up to the crime ... whichever it is.... but I'm not going to pre-judge. Hopefully he will be forced to go and give evidence in the Maxwell trial and that will lead to the truth finally coming out.
