I'm sorry you appear to have thought that I was having a go at you. At the time of my posting I had just read this! http://uproxx.com/music/tom-pettys-daughter-slams-rolling-stone-annakim-violette-slams/ I tended to believe his daughter rather than the press!
Apparently it was wrongly announced prematurely by Rolling Stone magazine, widely reported on that basis, and sadly later in the day, it came to pass anyway. Wrongly, then correctly reported or not, still a sad loss
Such a big loss to popular music and he will be very much missed. Thank you Tom for providing music that became a backing track to my early life. RIP
Mine too, I remember the traveling Wilburys and TP & the HB regularly featuring in my Dad's car. Bah!
I was always a bit 'meh' about them too. I was never a huge fan of Orbison, Dylan or Jeff Lynne and Harrison I could take or leave. That only leaves poor old dear departed Tom!!
I see the actor and writer Sean Hughes aged 51 has died - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-41632761
Duty Free Actor Keith Barron has passed away. Another good actor exits the stage. http://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknew...ies-aged-83/ar-BBEZc0h?li=BBoPRmx&ocid=HPCDHP Thank you for the entertainment you provided. RIP
Oh no, Rodney Bewes co star of my favourite sitcom of all time “Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads” has passed away
A really sad day yesterday, losing Rodney Bewes - the Likely Lads was one of my favourite comedies (before your time FML!!!). I wonder if we might see some repeats. Also see that David Cassidy passed away yesterday.
Just heard the very sad news about the passing of Rodney Bewes and I am truly gutted. A wonderfully talented actor who was unfairly in my opinion overshadowed by his co-star James Bolam in the Likely Lads. I believe that they had a massive fall out during the filming of Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads and hadn't spoken since! Another character from my childhood gone to the big stage in the sky! RIP Rodney you are a true talent.
Christine Keeler was one of the most iconic figures from the 60's and Scandal is one of my favourite films.
