Maupay and Connolly aren't bad strikers though, so I'm not sure why they aren't scoring. If they are poor, then why didn't Potter replace them? It might be another Leeds situation, where it's hard for them to pick up a forward to suit them. Needs to work very hard, close down a lot, have decent mobility and pass the ball decently. Add scoring regularly to that and every club would be after them.
If we tell them that's exactly what Ndombele is, will they send some of the Benny White money or way? ...and if Potter buys that story, we definitely shouldn't hire him
Not great either to be fair. He probably had other pressing needs and a net spend of -7m meant that he had to be smart with how he spent it. Maupay you may say has pedigree in thr championship and maybe had 1 or 2 okay seasons in the league Connolly no chance, hes a youth product who can run fast and works hard. He has 5 goals in 43 matches.

Interesting how he didn't roll around anything like as much as he does when he trips over his own laces... please log in to view this image
Any serious side would have beaten them today. They were very fortunate to escape with a draw. I'm not one to use injuries as an excuse but they caught us at the right time. Kante and Kovacic both crocked and Havertz + Lukaku not fit enough for a full 90.
Hurt himself stepping on Maicon (not that one). Another controversial victory for Pochettino's side, but a victory nonetheless. I don't think the red card was DOGSO, but he deserved it for studding Mbappe's kneecap.

There's been a lot of moaning about Messi winning the Ballon D'or, again. Make it something you can only win once. Problem solved.
