We’ve reached Round Six, The Quarter Finals. Eight teams remain, with a place in the Semi Finals at Wembley at stake.

    Lower League Watch.

The last five lower league sides went out in Round Five, with the ‘Last Man Standing’ award going to Leyton Orient, who forced a replay with Arsenal.

With 7 of the 8 Quarter Finalists being Premier league sides, it is Reading flying the flag for the NPower league.

    Birmingham City v BOLTON WANDERERS

    Focus on Bolton Wanderers

Bolton have played in seven FA Cup Finals, taking the trophy home on four occasions.
Their first final was in 1894, when they went down 4-1 to Notts County at Goodison Park. Their last final, in 1958, ended in a 2-0 victory over a Manchester United side still reeling from the Munich air disaster three months earlier.
Bolton were one of the 12 founder members of the Football League in 1888, finishing 5th in the inaugural season.
Bolton are the only remaining side in this year’s competition who are yet to concede a goal.

    Bolton’s Cup Run so far:

    Round Three
    BOLTON 2-0 York City

    Round Four
    BOLTON 0-0 Wigan
    Replay
    Wigan 0-1 BOLTON

    Round Five
    Fulham 0-1 Bolton

    Last Season:

Wins over Lincoln City and Sheffield United got the Trotters to Round Five, where they succumbed to Tottenham in a replay at White Hart Lane.

    Random Fact:

Bolton have spent the highest number of seasons in the top flight without winning the title.
