    on the form table shrewsbury have gone down to 19th wich is not a suprise with a slump in form and only 3 points out of a potential 18 .a dire performance against Gillingham and now playing Rochdale who are 14th in the form table and have won there last two games and a team we dont tend to do well against. well town badly need somthing he rested some players for the last game which was very undestandable so will we see the line up that did so well against Liverpool or will some of the new siginings hit the ground running?

    we badly need a win to stop the slide down the table.

    a more attacking line up in an entertaining first half;
    Cummings and love with towns best chances, McAleney looked bright and trying make things happen. Town looked to grow in to this game and looked the stronger team only thing missing from the first half was a goal . at half time i thought "just hope we dont get punished for not scoring."

    lang and laurent force a save but a frustrating second half as town get sloppy and too many moves break down after a poor pass. Rochdale hardly troubled town but poor defending as town fail to clear there lines and we lose to a sucker punch near the end of the game.
    town punished for failing to be clinical enough in final third and we just struggle to score.

    thought Edwards did very well in a more deeper role in front of the defense breaking up a lot of the play. whilst Goss can be consistent his passing was spot on and his distribution was very good somthing that was lacking too many times when town moved forward.

    Ricketts picked an atacking line up , the players have got do better as we are on a poor run.

    Did not go so I will not comment on the game but I must say our league form has been shocking since Christmas and, in any other season, we would be seriously worried about relegation. Still looking forward to Tuesday night but, whether we go out of the cup or not, the next two home games are looking really important. We desperately need to regain some form in the league, otherwise the season will just peter out with a whimper.

    ricketts picked attacking line up, but in the last third we lost momentum through poor decision making or inconsistent distribution. whilst we were the better team we did not convert that to goals and whilst there keeper made three good saves we did not make the most of the chances we had .when you dont score then you risk getting punished and that is what happened.

    Certainly does not sound as bad as the last two away games and it seems like the lad from Fleetwood had a good game. After Tuesday, whatever the result, we need to focus on the league with a lot of home games to come against lower half of the table opposition. The lads just need a bit of confidence from a win in the league.

    considering the poor results in the league Ricketts is not getting anywhere near the stick Askey got.
    i actually think as long as Ricketts does not go back in his sheed after this result we looked more likly to score with the team he put out.

    I suppose Ricketts was trying out his new more attacking formation in view of the important home games coming up. Let's hope he sticks with it despite the result at Rochdale which went against the run of play. Bring on Anfield before we go back to League 1!
