Hi everyone! how have you been? unfortunately I couldn't see the match vs rotherham I have seen the highlights We were so unlucky but I know that it's not the same to watch the match , so how was the match? do you think that we deserved to won? cheers!

 

We certainly didn't deserve to lose. We missed an open goal tap in by inches (couldn't quite get there) and we hit the bar from a couple of metres. I don't recall us being in any danger throughout the match but my screen shut off after 90 mins. I looked up the result hoping we had snatched a deserved late winner. Pretty shocked to see we had lost to be honest (that's me being polite )

 

I just read that Macclesfield have been wound up in court with debts of £500,000.

 

Unfortunately they wont be the last mowgli, I wonder who the next team will be ........................

Hah it will be Southend mate which i'm not bothered about as they've been taking the p*ss for years when it comes to paying their taxes.

I think a lot of clubs are hanging on for the start of supporters back through the gates in October. But, if there is another lockdown and that change isn't allowed on or near the advertised date then the skids will be hit by a few. A lot of the owners of the lower leagues can only pump in so much of their own cash to keep them alive and their sources of income may well be drying up as much as the football club's is. There is no overflowing pot of gold from TV companies to fall back on like the top teams have. Chelsea spend £71m on a single player which is enough cash to keep leagues one and two going for a whole season. I used to say that I wanted my club to reach the promised land of the premiership at least once before I die. I no longer want that even if it was remotely possible because I would hate to see them crash and burn trying to compete in that league. One season of fame for a lifetime of pain after. No thanks not for me.
