'Rodgers’s focus – as it is with many managers including some of the Liverpool greats – is almost always with the players in his starting XI. In recent months, however, this has led to gallows humour developing among squad members not getting any attention - a group who call themselves “the Bomb Squad”.'

Big club Stockport, not massive or anything but big.

George best once (slightly more) played for them. <ok>

That was pretty serious tbh. If there was any truth to it, then your owners are idiots.

If he makes it to the next game then there's a very real chance he might just escape. Even Rodgers can't fck up the next 2 games.

And I bet @Tobes is praying he's still there in 3 games

To be fair isn't everything greater than Manchester. You could Probably say that Portsmouth's location is greater than Manchester. Or greater Manchester for short.

    Oh, ok then. <ok>
In answer to your Arab question- no, I wouldn't want us to take the City or Chelsea route to success. If that's what happens I'd continue to support my club, but I'd rather we did it the hard, and genuine, way.

Your assertion that we have no right to expect a top-level manager is just plain silly, btw.

So...., according to you, the most successful club in England ( and please don't bother arguing with that), who haven't been out of the top 8 for over 50 years, and still have comparatively considerable resources- have no right to pursue whatever it takes to get them back to the top and instead should just accept mediocrity?
Like when you finished 7th a couple of years back, did you say "Ah well, we're average now- let's just accept it and go for an average manager"
If that were the case, you could have just stuck with Auld Dave.

Please stop talking rubbish-it's a bit embarrassing.

    <laugh>

According to me and nope, I won't be arguing the point either. For once i am glad we agree.

Liverpool though, you need to realise your standing now. Its no insult to you or your club. Poor ownership and even worse management has brought you to this point. Nothing else. If you think guys who could command any job in the world would come to you, then you are bonkers.

Name me the last genuine top class manager you have had. Look at the level you often go for and tell me Ancelotti would consider it.... Or klopp.... Madness.

Or trying to sell make believe shares to pump more money into the club..or getting new sponsorship deals..

Any of the commercial arguments went out the window twenty years ago..if fans of big teams don't want it I'm sure there are poorer local teams right next door you can support for the purity of the game.

Would you stop a rich owner buying the pub or restaurant down the road and making it top class and say "No no! I want to keep eating the rat burgers! They're authentic..."

Nonsense..all our clubs sold their souls to the commercial devils years ago....

    Condescending or what? <laugh>
I note that, not for the first time, you evaded the tricky part of the question.
Whether or not either of them would come remains to be seen- but to say it's madness to consider it is just daft.

Perhaps you're starting to worry that it might just happen?

You mean like the guy running the club winning the trophy you or us haven't looked like winning recently..

But seriously...it'll not be long now..you'll either be able to be smug about something very small...like you're the new Arsenal or you'll be back on to sidestep and explain how one of the managers you are lauding above are actually ****..

    Like a window....lol.
