Can't see what's wrong with keeping your cards close to your chest? Also I can't see what business it is of fans to know of others money. The financial side of the club is in the public domain when the accounts come out. That's all you need to know. It's plainly obvious others have an agenda of their own, quite frankly it pisses me off.
Again, we were perfectly entitled to ask the question, they were entitled to say that it I'd private UNLESS it means liabilities or ownership changes for SAFC. If that's not the case then like I said, how they fund their own contributions to the club is entirely their call. The only agenda here is from people who don't actually read the content of my posts and assume the worst.
I've listened to the majority of it, Paul Read is pretty much anonymous throughout, very much the 'Charlie Show'. Spent 20 mins of the hour talking about how Donald has come off social media because of the small percentage of people abusing. He did give a fair assessment of the U18 & U23 teams - we're still competing with most PL teams who can spend money on them which we simply can't. As for the takeover/investment - it's not really anyone's business what the deal entails. Why don't we just let it go and get on with it? No other football club disclose stuff like that so not sure why we get our knickers in a twist over it. Manager situation is interesting, they based the decision solely on League One experience, which is great to a degree, but hardly very ambitious.
Where they asked if it was the cheapest option as Cook had been mentioned but wasn't persued due to the £1m Signing fee?
I haven't quite finished it so I've either missed it or not heard that bit yet. Think it's pretty clear it'll have been financially motivated as well as no compensation fee to pay for Parky. If we had no money for on the pitch transfers we certainly weren't going to pay £1m for a manager.
I didn't go - mainly due to my best mates business venture (a running company who had an event in Durham yesterday) and giving him help in measuring out a course which was suitable - but I do love the club and am happily, regularly referred to as a "happy clapper" (proud to get behind them) But you're absolutely spot on, 0% should abuse
Apparently Parkinson was chosen due to the reports the board had from people who had worked with him previously as they were the best from all the candidates involved plus he had experience of League 1 - can't remember any other managers names mentioned.
I quite like Methven I think he's a decent enough bloke. I warmed to him when I watched him do an interview with SAFC talking about when he discovered he had ball cancer, he described how he went to the toilet in the night and felt something unusual on his, and you see him trying and failing to think of the polite term testicle, after a short pause he goes "bollock".
On about that I thought I had the same disease a few year back Getting some oral sex off our lass & she thought I had three testacles the lump was that big Anyway she refused to give me any more nooky till I'd got it checked out which I did Came back all clear Went back to see her & shagged The arse off her took me three weeks to get sorted Apart from my open hear surgery never been so frightened in me life when I was getting examined
Had a scare myself years back, horrible isn't it. When I was getting checked out my balls shrank into my body like a frightened tortoise going into its shell he did a good job managing to check properly Here's the interview with Methven, it's worth a watch because it's something that affects a lot of us and it also shows a more likeable side to him where he can talk openly about something unlike all the cloak and dagger takeover stuff. https://www.safc.com/news/club-news/2019/october/sunderland-backing-movember-campaign
Was pointed to this thread by someone so thought I’d sign up and say hello. Thanks for being kinder than that lot over at RTG!
