My vote is in. Le clerc in a ferrari 1/2. High downforce imola. Lots of corners. Best traction car wins this in a canter.
Going Perez this time. Can't keep jinxing Max otherwise it will be a crappy championship battle. Also can't jinx that monumental beauty that is the Ferrari.
Interested to see how these cars go at the European circuits - I always think this is where you start to see the genuine best cars because the Euro tracks tend to test the full workings of strengths and weaknesses. Also can’t wait to see if anyone can find a serious upgrade in the next few races. I thought Alpine bought a new floor to Aus (lighter one) but have seen some flitterings that they may have a newer one performance wise at Imola so that might be one to watch. Sounds like Merc are hanging on for Barca as are McLaren. Not sure about RBR or Ferrari- id have thought not but Ferrari in their homeland you can never rule out trying something. Norris put a lap and a half together in quali last year here in what was a very low drag McLaren so I would not rule out Red Bull for a win despite Ferrari being the obvious favourites.
Looks like he's the only one that can put up a fight. If the engine can see them through. Plus... I actually get to see the Ferrari if there's somebody challenging them.
My instinct is that he might actually win this weekend, just not voting for him. Friday looks difficult although the BBC are forecasting light showers. Saturday it is warmer and dry for the sprint this weekend. Light showers on Sunday which suggests tyre changes may be more critical than normal. Could be a bit of a lottery. With up to 8 points on offer for the sprint race it is a big weekend. If Charles and Max took each out, what a leveller that would be, except for Max.
Confirmed upgrades for the weekend. Alpine floor rumour was true. Beam wings for Alpine and McLaren but is that really an upgrade or just a circuit based amendment?
He did seem to have a big wing on vs Lewis was a much slimmer one I think. Maybe he will have a wing change for quali but that's going to make it more difficult for him as he wont have tested it!
Sugar quali is delayed due to f3! Anyone any idea when f1 quali gets going? Ignore that, I was confused, busy day rushing in and out to match todays sessions Quali 4pm UK time!!!!
