The Chairboys travel to Glanford Park to take on the Iron looking for their first points over the Christmas period while the Iron are on a very poor run of results and sit bottom of the six game form table with zero points they are also bottom of the ten game table with four points by contrast we are 8th and 6th in those two tables but statistics are misleading and we need to be much better than we were on Boxing day to come away with anything. I was very surprised with the lack of changes for our last game with Allsop returning in goal and just Morris and CMS replacing Williams and Samuel, so I expect Gaz to freshen things up by firstly bringing back Stewart at the expense of Sido Fox could replace JJ I'm not sure why Harriman has not been in the last few squads also Charles could return and maybe PCH and or Kashket could replace Fred and or Tyson. I won't be travelling anywhere for the next few days just eating up leftover turkey, Christmas pudding, chocolates etc and getting out doing some long dog walks and watching Soccer Saturday expecting the lads to get back to winning ways
A 4-4-2 formation with Kashket and Samuel up front would be a good move. I'd also play Harriman in defence instead of JJ who has been struggling lately it seems.
TEAM NEWS: Four changes for the #Chairboys. Stewart, Freeman, Kashket and Samuel IN. Jombati, Morris, Tyson and Mackail-Smith OUT.
You got your wish mate but it was Stewart who came in for Sido still no sign of Harriman and has Saunders retired
I honestly thought we'd see The Beast start so i'm pleasantly surprised, just don't blame me if we lose! Also good to see Freeman start but the end looks near for PCH which would be a shame, neither he,Harriman or Saunders are getting a look in but let's see what happens with the players who's loans run out soon.
Wycombe: Allsop, McCarthy, Jacobson, El-Abd, Stewart, Freeman, Gape, Thompson, Onyedinma, Kashket, Samuel. #SCUvWYCSubs: Yates, Jombati, Mackail-Smith, Cowan-Hall, Morris, Akinfenwa, Williams. #SCUvWYC
GOAL DISALLOWED! Not a clue what the officials have spotted there. Freeman's low cross is met by Onyedinma, lands to Samuel who drills home, and the players are back in their own half before the ref consults with his linesman. It remains 1-0. #SCUvWYC
And a replay of our disallowed goal shows that Scott Kashket was in front of the keeper in an offside position when Samuel got the shot away. Looks the right decision. 1-0 #SCUvWYC
3 bad days on the trot against teams below us. We're now in 13th and only 8 points above the relegation spots
Pressure is now on from probably looking at picking up 4 or 5pts over Christmas. Difficult game New Years Day against a team we hav'nt had any success against.
