I agree, honesty is integral for me.

One of my best ever gigs was the Damned at Sheffield Beer Keller ...

... the sound system packed up, the Sheffield skinheads invaded and started fights but the band still put everything into it.

    Great night.

Those that questioned SD and CM from the start proved to be right.
The sad thing is I’m pretty sure they are happier they were proved right than if they’d succeeded and made us successful.
I couldn’t live my life like that.

They were, I’ll never forget what SD did for me dad, and lots nobody knows about too.

And I’ll always remember me mam, after they’d gone, asking “who was that nice young lad” (about Juan) “he’s a multi millionaire Mam”, that’ll make me smile for a long time :emoticon-0140-rofl:

So I was especially invested and wanted it to work, but I would have done anyway, from the moment they took over (before the family thing) some had the knives out, my attitude was always it could go tits up but I’m going to be positive until it does.
For some the negativity is their default gene.

Janey, I've worked for some seriously wealthy people who've been crooks, to be blunt.

But the humanity they've shown has been genuine and the recipients shouldn't feel any less grateful.

None of us are perfect ...

... although I come closer to most people to be honest <laugh>

These lyrics are pretty good mate ...

.... grudges serve no useful purpose.

And try to forget all your enemies and debts
They'll just chase you round and give you sour dreams
Try to forget all them enemies and debts
They'll just chase you round and give you sour dreams
    Oh so it seems
    So it seems

I like the craic at times but sometimes I feel like forums get in the way of real life.
Although real life is out of the window the last year.
I'm out of Facebook as i can get close to the bone with my views and call a spade a spade.
The Mrs regularly squirms when we're out together and someone winds me up :D

I realise there's a lot younger about nowadays with different views and different ideals and ideas of comedic effect.
The whinging snowflake soft handed twáts :D

... brought a tear to my eye, thanks again.

The vast majority (if not all) who questioned SD&CM from the start did it for no valid reason, imo.
Contrariness, wum-ness, doom mongering, moanyfacedom, & so on, they get no credit, just increased their nobheadness level.

Reading back, my meaning is clearer in my head than written down, ahem.

As much as it pains me to say it but SD was 90 minutes off being a success.
If we'd won the play off final things would have been so different.
The biggest problem was he wasn't in a position to fail. When we lost the final that was him ****ed, he took a gamble and lost big time

To show how bad it is over there I have just got annoyed - there is a lad called Be Here Now who has been keeping us really informed on the vaccines etc - a lad called Football Fan has ruined it for me with a childish argument over a tweet from the government. That place is even getting to me now

Mate, he does that ALL the time. He gets involved in arguments about subjects he has no idea about...especially on the politics forum. Decent posters wipe the floor with him, but he's bloody relentless.

Every now and again I let myself get dragged in on the politics forum, there’s virtually no middle ground on there and brings out the very worst in posters.
