I agree with @Dick Plumb1 that financial crime isn't victimless. i was watching the Netflix documentary about Bernie Madoff last night and the damage that mans thievery did is horrible. The money Rufus took came from somewhere too. It's sad to see a club legend end up like this, but my sympathy is with the victims, and the man deserves what he got. But violence is a step up. Leaving people battered should be punishable with a stretch, and while it's @Smudger603's son makes it a bit more personal on here, I 'd guess we all agree this sort of violence needs an equally strong reply. Send the tw@t's to Bellmarsh and throw away the key.
Violent thugs should go to prison for a long time. In my view non-violent criminals (which includes the pond life who con vulnerable folk out of their life savings, and other fraudsters like Rufus) should get 10 years community service. Not a hundred hours. Ten years.
