So the updated Force India car has ended up in pieces 2 races out of 2. Meanwhile Perez has come 5th & 4th. He's also getting kicked out the team don't you know. Hopefully this makes him at least a little smug.
Looking forward to watching the Merc whizz around the Nurburgring. Good win for Bottas today. Worrying signs for Alex Albon though I would have thought
Whilst we're at it, did the Leclerc-Stroll incident get looked at? Whilst browsing for a video of it I happened across this, which seemed very apt given what's going on.
I don't think it did. I seem to remember the stewards saying that '1st corner' incidents are more likely to be given benefit of the doubt. There were also a couple of cars that didn't go through the chicane after going over the sausage curbs on first lap.
I read it was after Merc asked them to listen to radio conversation. To be fair when Haas called their drivers in after the parade lap a few races ago to change tyres drivers received a stop go but didn't receive any points as far as I can remember. Looking at the footage it was a stupid thing to do, on tv coverage we heard Lewis sort of asking his engineer if it was OK to the practice start further down pit lane. What I didn't hear was any conversation before that, so I guess FIA realised it was more a team error, than a driver one. Plus lewis only had 2 more points to go before getting the first race ban for any driver!!! I think some points come off in mid Nov but it would be risky being on 10 points. Bit surprised really that he has 10 points as the UK press usually say how 'nice and clean' a driver he is, I think maybe a little bias
Didn't watch it live thankfully. Watched it yesterday afternoon and it was dire. I do wonder how much of a risk having all those fans there was. Hopefully we don't get a ton of positive covid tests following this race.
Somehow bottas know how to drive in the Russian grand Prix and win the race, I remembered 2018 he moves aside and let hamilton win!
