Jeesus, that’s some ****ing weird psychology he’s working on us there. This could push our emotionally fragile players over the edge. Only thing being, they already went over the edge.
What I meant about "apologising and donating wages not addressing the damage" wasn't that I my want my money back but (even if I did leave early ) I do want performances that look like they are trying. That's the only way this team can get the fans back IMO, a few home wins might help too. I agree with your sentiment of "take the rough with the smooth" but there are limits to the rough you can be expected to take and that performance went way beyond the limit. I can remember those games you mention above (the game at Everton was 8-0, but we did hit the bar) but thankfully they were all away games. This time I was there to witness the carnage, but I don't think it was a freak result in as much as we've been building up to a thrashing, just didn't expect 9. However I don't believe they're certainties for relegation yet but as things are they are contenders.
I think this is the most ambivalent I have ever been about a Saints game. Which is rather strange considering the last round was for me, probably one of the most anticipated games in years. Finding it hard to shift Fridays disaster. Feels burned into history.
Yay, match day. Am really nervous about today, we can't afford another pasting even if it's "only" a cup match
Because it is. We will be bombarded by 'squad lists southampton could have had to prevent them losing by league record margins' from now till we win the champions league.
We’re going to win the Champions League? Excellent. Loving the positivity NZ, makes all the pain worthwhile
It's all ok. Pep will go easy on us once they get the 7th. At half time he'll bring on Jesus and De Bruyne for the 45 min warm down.
It's either that or bad transcription, because "Saints players are, incredibly, professionals" tracks logically.
