Goodness me, that's powerful shown in that context. John Lennon's song has been so used up that it had somewhat lost its impact. But that ought to be released as a single.
OK, it appears we're about to go through the entire The Move singles catalogue . Blackberry Way. Normally I would find the record, but the lads didn't entirely make me cringe in this rendition, although Roy Wood is miles off at a couple of points. It's to see Bev Bevan's mighty timpani sticks as drum sticks:
I Can Hear The Grass Grow. Great promo video. Can you believe that lead singer Carl Wayne became a ballad singer later in his career, turning up on variety shows.
Last one I can dig out of Youtube. Night of Fear. Here someone has synced the single to a live performance:
Happy 70th birthday ( Tomorrow ) . For this man + his band :-=) First song is my favourite And , as a lot of you are aware , there are many MANY more
Eventually, this becomes a music video, but it has an important message: I subscribe to the Youtube channel, Just Have A Think. [<-link] Today, apart his usual weekly climate aware videos the host later shared a music video composed by Michael Baumgard which consisted of setting some of the key words in sppeches made by Greta Thunberg. All we ask is that you Like and Share the video in any way you can to raise awareness. Also, if you want to buy the track off iTunes or Google Play, the links are in the video or at the JHAT channel on YT. Have a look and a listen. Cheers:
Great choices! My favourites ...... And ..... possibly my absolute favourite because of the amazing bleakness of the lyrics -
I think the only one I can come close to saying I don't like . Is dancing in the dark . Still not sure why
That actual out on the street video . MRS Jaspers friend was there . The friend has seen him 16 times . Her partner 38...…..
Probably a bit too “poppy” ..... I don’t think it’s too bad (quite clever lyrics) I’ve only seen him 3 times (started late) but I’d go and see him again at the drop of a hat!
Nail on head . The Lyrics are good . Don't think the official video did the song Justice looking back .
Yeah, agree. The idea of pulling some “unknown” from the audience sounded good, until we all worked out it was whatsername from “Friends” ...... and I never liked the “muscled” Bruce to be honest. My favourite track from “Born in the USA” is “My Hometown” which is more like the Bruce of old ......
My home town is very moving . Don't even start me on the RIVER . Went to see him with my sister when he played at the Etihad a little while ago . She said " If he plays Bobby jean or The River , he will make me cry " . He played them both . You can guess the rest......
I saw him on July 4 (2012) in Paris and he played “Independence Day” on the piano. Not a dry eye in the house .....
