    Ralph has his faults but you can never question his commitment to Saints. Definitely worth the money we're paying him.

    If you watch the Tifo video then Ralph’s comments are encouraging. One of the biggest problems we’ve had has been a poorly managed change in direction when it comes to coaching and transfer/contract policy. The consistency provided by a joined up vision from DoF to the management to the coaching and scouting to the players can only be beneficial long term. We’d all like the club to be better funded, but I think very few of us could disagree with the clear and obvious strategy that they are following at present.

    Lingard wants to go on loan for his last six months and Man United don’t want to send him back to West Ham

    I’d say it would be worth a look at normally - if we hadn’t given a squad spot and wages to Theo

    If I were Lingard, and Newcastle were interested, I wouldn’t sign permanently until I knew they wasn’t getting relegated.

    Saints are considering an approach for Ajax goalkeeper, Charlie Setford. The 17 year-old has already made the bench for Ajax at senior level and reportedly supports the Southampton due to his family originally living in area.
