please log in to view this image v This Saturday sees the return of the real football after an international break and one that hopefully sees Saints kickstart their season after a difficult run of opening fixtures, which I think have seen some positive signs of things to come. Leeds have a few players out according to reports, so hopefully, Saints can get the overdue win and begin to climb up the table.
Referee: David Coote. Assistants: Dan Cook, Nick Hopton. Fourth official: John Brooks. VAR: Lee Mason. Assistant VAR: Mark Scholes. We're so ****ed.
Why is it I sometimes think we have to play against two teams. The opposing team and the team of incompetent biased ****ing officials.
I know I'm going to spend most of the match worrying about Mason on VAR duty. Mind you Leeds are in the same boat as us - he's just totally inept. At least Simon Hooper isn't in the middle - those two put together are worse than awful.
Ok, I have seen a few Leeds games this season. They have been awful at times. Preseason they were dire, the first games of the league they were very toothless and directionless but the last couple they showed signs of form thanks to Raphina. Their game was give it to raphina from anywhere on the pitch and see what happens. My prediction - he won’t play Well or at all and we win this or draw 0-0.
Sorry guys I hate Leeds, I know many Leeds fans who are utter mutants and who regularly tell me how great Leeds are and how insignificant Saints are. I always get into banter/heated arguments about how **** Leeds are with them. They are missing half their team so will 100% win easily so that they can laud it over me for ages
This has probably been asked/talked about before, but will JWP be eligible to play, after his red card vs Chelsea?
Happy days, although my wife was 6 months pregnant with our twins that day. We went to the ground early to take the weight off her feet, which was not a good idea because those seats are uncomfortable at the best of times, so she suffered much discomfort - bless her!
Thanks for the info, Lovelocum. I thought that this would be the case, so now we're on a run of (slightly more) winnable fixtures, without our captain.
This is a huge game (as opposed to a must win game) and I'm really looking forward to it. I despise Leeds with a passion but I am expecting a very entertaining and close game. Don't really want to call it because, as we know, even a 3-0 lead with 15 minutes to go does not guarantee a win against Leeds. It won't write our season off if we lose but the confidence boost a win would give us would be worth its weight in gold. We have a poor overall record against them but they are not the same threat as last season yet so maybe it's a good time to play them. With JWP and Che out, it gives a real chance for others to step up to the plate and shine. So my team would be McCarthy KWP Bedders Salisu Perraud Romeu Diallo Tino Walcott Adam Broja With Redders, Tella, Djenepo coming on at some stage to replace tired legs.
Many of us are hoping to see a KWP Tino combo on the right. Come on Ralph you know you want to do it.
