The stats suggest it is probably the latter if you compare the amount of deaths from the Kent variant compared to the reportedly worse Delta variant.
Sorry to read that you won't be there to witness us lose to Manure mate!, get well soon.

I believe the title of this thread gives a clue as to the fact that this is a match thread, and not the Coronavirus thread. Please confine discussion of the virus and its effects and outcomes to that thread.

    Thank you so much.

Given how we have started defensively, and given how Man Utd have started in attack I'd try and set us up compact and hope we don't get smashed. Forster, KWP, Bednarek, Salisu, Perraud. Oriol sitting in front of the back 4 with JWP and S.Armstrong just in front of him. Then Livramento in front of KWP on the right and Tella in front of Perraud on the left. A.Armstrong as the forward. Hopefully can be compact, frustrate them and hit them on the break with the pace of Tella, Livramento and Armstrong. Che can come on if we are struggling to hold the ball up top but imagine we will mainly be playing on the break anyway.

Very sorry to hear that Archers. I hope you are able to shrug it off in a few days.

Get yourself up to your allotment and chill out watching the weeds grow.

I have just tested double negative. They gave the reason as the two recent post I made on here regarding Ralph and our crap defence <laugh>

Personally I'm just looking forward to getting back to St Mary's to experience that football feeling again. Pre match pints and greasy burger from outside the stadium. The score will be largely irrelevant (unless by some miracle, we win) I've missed it so much.

Maybe you'll get lucky and experience a 6-9 (Fnaar, Fnaar). Although, knowing my luck, it will be 9-6

Anyone can provide evidence of a test. Vaccination itself isn't required.

For now ... vaccination only come October. Disgusting, but hey, that's our new bullshit way of living.

I've yet to see anywhere confirm they won't take negative tests from October. In fact, I've only seen the opposite.

    From OS article:

From the start of the 2021/22 season, you will need to be prepared to show that you have been fully vaccinated – or have logged a negative lateral flow test result in the 48 hours before kick-off – to be admitted to St Mary's.

Interesting, I thought the plan was for government to make vaccine certification the only form of entry from October, similar to the plan for nightclubs, with "negative tests not enough as a condition of entry "

Admittedly I haven't been following much mainstream news recently, so this may have changed?

I said at the time I didn't see it happening for either and that any 'passport' would include the option of negative test.

Still think the announcement was a ploy to get more vaccinated. Time will tell though.

Your disgusting bullshit. Others consider it a means to remove restrictions whilst avoiding transmission and mutations. Unfortunately, the test and trace program which would have helped progress to whatever the new normal will be is an abject failure. Not just in the UK by the way.
    Edit: enjoy the footy Sunday.
