For no other reason than to get this thread alive again, I have a question, other than The Spitfire in town can anyone recommend a proper Saints pub for pre match pints near the stadium? Meeting a friend and feel like a change of boozer.
No they won’t, but Fernandes has no doubt been practicing chucking himself all over the place to win one.
It’s been 533 days after our last full outing, Southampton fans can return to St.Mary’s at full capacity!
The only thing I can't see today is a narrow United win. We'll either get something or we'll get utterly trounced.
*From about 2:20pm after they have collected their season tickets from the ticket office and we are 2-0 down
Grapes in Oxford St was always good Alex in Bellevue Rd With the POW that gives you one from each direction
I fully expect to lose I fully expect us to do something to mess with my head and give me hope of something better than that ... ... and then smash that hope into the dirt
These are the games the players are here for. We’ll ****ing smash ‘em*. *maybe. It can happen. Call up the spirits of 6-3.
That is one of my favourite bets against a top 6 side (not just Saints but anyone). First half home (lesser) team, second half away (top 6 side). A guy called Don Shanks (some of the older ones on here would know who he is) taught me this bet - I met him on holiday a few years ago and we have kept in touch ever since. I now call it the 'Shanks bet'
Don't know why I am negative today about the game. I won the dishwasher game and it was a tricky one with a pot that has to go away under a grill in the cupboard.
