Would help him progress playing regular football. If he does well there then maybe he can make the step up for us. Only issue for us is lack of players

can't help feeling that we are pushing more and more out
    and not bringing anyone in
despite their quality (or lack of)

Makes sense to me, we need to mold him into a wide forward if he is going to make it.

We need him to make the most of his athleticism, pace and height, the way we do that is if we help nurture his technical and positional ability and if he can do that and keep fit he'll surpass his brother's achievements by a lightyear.

Totally makes sense, he has ability but needs regular first team games.
