I predicted it on RTG. Many agreed with me at the time which is why I’m baffled you thought it was a shock. I mean, each to their own n all that, but I could see it coming a mile off.

I don't remember anyone ever mentioning it or anyone agreeing ...

... on RTG it was total surprise and lots of laughter.

I predicted the exact minute Italy and England would score in the euro final. Along with who would both take, score, and miss penalties. Just decided not to actually publicise it till after it happened….

 

Didn't post much but I was a daily lurker on RTG back then (took me about 14 yrs to hit midfielder iirc) and I have no recollection of anyone predicting the Defoe swap.

I might have missed the post, but surely it would have meant instant ITK legend status and that would have made a lot of noise on the board.

 

I was ****kng mind blown when we got Defoe mind.

I also pissed my pants when realised we’d swapped him for a wardrobe.

 

Yeah I don't remember anyone being unfazed by or predicting the Altidore/Defoe swap. It came from out of the blue.

 

It certainly wasn't predicted on RTG mate.

Let's be honest suggesting we could swap Altidore for Dean Windass would've looked far fetched

 

Agree mate. He was ****e for us and had shown for a second time he could ot cut it in the premier league. As I said to you the other day one thing we didn't realise at the time is he was a big name over there due to him being the national team star. As a result all mls would have jumped to have hill lucky for us one of them also had a sick as **** Defoe wanting to get home!
