Given there's been over £1billion extra pounds spent, surely people are either skint or their house is full by now?

Sadly, I read on one of the waste sites that the amount of spoiled food collected on bin rounds has increased dramatically.

Is there a way to get shopping home delivered when you're not on-line / internet aware. There must be loads of old folk without computers who have to stay home for 12 weeks.

Instead of having about 20 deliveries on a vehicle, there'll likely be 2 or 3 too GLP.

Surprised it didn’t go further, still hasn’t forced Central London businesses to close, other than the high street stuff.

Again I wish he would say who is classed as front line workers!

harsh truth but nurses working with the ill are in effect palliative care.

food production operatives are essential workers now and other workers along the food chain, drivers tesco checkout girls etc

Been checking tescos home deliver for a few days and there's been no slots available at all. Sites crashed now. People wasting their time. Got no chance.

I managed to get a delivery last Monday. Just my normal order. Didn't over stock. Asked the lass delivering if she's been busy, as you do. She said no because the orders where that big there was only room for 10 in her van.

Can't imagine supermarkets have the capacity to even scratch the surface of the needs. I'll be getting home from work around 7.30-8.30pm and I'll have to hope my local Tesco express will have what I need in.

The key worker list was published when they shut the schools.

It did include food preparation, delivery drivers and supermarket staff.

We have no real food shortages here. our local shops seem to have plenty. Maybe not bog rolls but we have had a delivery from family tonight that had everything on our list and we actually spent less than at Asda.

My sister in Hull could have got big rolls this morning, She has everything she needs.

You can go out to shop for food.

No one in our family has gone without or bulk purchased. No shopping now until Friday when it will be fresh food only.

    What’s the ****ing panic for?

Sales records on a weekly basis. There was some total numpty on the news - a professor of ‘logistics’ that was saying the excess demand wouldn’t be an issue, as supermarket buying models would adjust and increase order size to refill shelves. Where does he think this extra stock is coming from? Thin air maybe? Every company I have ever worked at produces to a forecast, if a forecast suddenly increases 2-3 fold it can take months to fill the pipeline with product.

I think this is where the government are stepping in. Certainly for the 1.5 million people identified as vulnerable. They are going to have shopping and any medication delivered to the door.
