Yeah they do, Saw a wasp catch a housefly and bite its head off right in front of me, was captivating, scissored its head off using its scythe like things on its mouth.
There's certain beasts in the foodchain that nature could live wthout and ****ing wasps are one of them. I got stung by one at the weekend as I went to move some fallen apples, as I started moving them, dozens of the hideous things appeared from underneath them and one bit the side of my hand as I was wafting them out of my grid.
ouch, My dad bit one when it landed on his apple, he was stung 6 times in the mouth and had to eat through a straw for 2 weeks
I was torn between feeling very sorry for him and absolutely pissing myself laughing. Never been stung myself, which is probably a bad thing, I think if you never been stung you probably hype up the fear in your mind. Maybe its just better to get it done so you know.
It hurts like **** but it usually soon subsides tbh. My Mrs was laughing at me getting stung and then about half an hour later, put on her gardening gloves and within seconds was leaping round the garden in agony, as there was a ****er in her glove I was howling.
Vinegar is what you want on a wasp sting, very acid to counteract the alkaline sting. I believe bee stings work the other way around........acid sting/alkaline needed
haven't been stung by a waspy since i was a kid, and the only time then was when I'd been jamming this ****ing massive stick into the hole that was the entrance to their nest in/under a flower bed, so it was fully warranted
bit late now though innit. best get a bottle of sarsons for the greenhouse. sounds like you're inundated
For whatever reason there seems to have been more of the ****ers around this year than normal. We went for a pint later on and sat in the beer garden of our local and they were ****ing everywhere.
tbh i thought there have been less around this summer !! same for insects in general, butterflies, bees, ants, flies, moths whatever ... numbers seem to be down on what they usually are Oh apart from the batard blood sucking little black flies that hang around the tennis courts where i play and bite your legs to **** leaving very nasty, swollen, itchy welts. Dunno what kind of flies those are, just that they're pretty small and black
i don't think they are mate, these ones are too small and too black, they actually might be flying ants
You know you've had that problem when you're trying to leave for work in the car in the morning but the drive's totes blocked by too many fallen apples again. Know I have #ruralproblems #realproblems
Time of year aswell, they are after the sugar. Apart from being really ****ing painful, its the swelling that is a batard.
